Privacy policy
CalculatorLeads is a trading style of YEPP LTD ("we", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales, number 15961027, with its registered office at Suite 2069 Letraset Building, Wotton Road, Ashford, Kent TN23 6LN. This policy explains how personal data moves through our service.
What CalculatorLeads is
We operate white-label inheritance tax calculators that professional adviser firms ("subscriber firms") embed on their own websites. Two groups of people give us personal data: subscriber firms who sign up, and visitors who use a calculator on a subscriber firm's website.
If you used a calculator on an adviser's website
- You can use the calculator without giving us any personal details. The figures you enter are sent to our servers to compute your estimate and are not stored at that point.
- If you choose to download the PDF report, we ask for your name, email address and phone number, and your explicit consent to share those details — together with the figures you entered and your estimate — with the named firm whose website you were using.
- With that consent, we store your details and calculation, email them to the firm, and record the exact consent wording you agreed to. The firm becomes a data controller of your information; we host and process it on their and our behalf.
- If the firm has switched it on, we also email you a copy of your estimate, sent in the firm's name with their contact details. It is a one-off email about the report you asked for, not marketing, and replying to it goes straight to the firm.
- We store leads for up to 24 months, and remove IP addresses (kept briefly for abuse prevention) after 90 days. To exercise your data rights (access, correction, deletion and the rest, under UK GDPR), contact the firm you shared your details with, or email us at hello@calculatorleads.co.uk.
If you run a subscriber firm
- We store your firm and contact details, branding, and a record of the terms you agreed to at sign-up.
- Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see your full card details. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment processing.
- We email you your leads, service messages about your subscription, and operational notices. We don't sell or share your details with anyone else.
If you report a problem
- "Something not working?" on a calculator, "Report a problem" in the calculator editor and emails to problem@calculatorleads.co.uk come to us, CalculatorLeads, not to the adviser firm.
- We keep what you wrote, which page you were on and your browser type, and your email address if you gave one. The calculator never sends the figures you entered. We use this only to fix the problem and tell you when it's fixed.
- We track fixes in GitHub, our code host. Before a report goes there, we remove any email addresses and phone numbers from it.
- When the form shows a spam check (Cloudflare Turnstile), Cloudflare sees your browser and IP address to tell people from bots.
- We delete your email address from a report after 90 days and the report itself after 24 months.
If we've emailed your firm about CalculatorLeads
- We send a short monthly email about inheritance tax to UK firms that advise on estates: accountants, solicitors and financial advisers. We think firms like yours may find the calculator useful, and we rely on our legitimate interest in telling them about it.
- We find firms on public registers (Companies House, and the FCA Register for advice firms) and keep the firm's name, company number, registered address and type of business.
- We take email addresses only from where the firm publishes them itself, usually its own website, and we record the page we found each one on. Every email tells you where your address came from.
- Every email has a one-click unsubscribe. Unsubscribing, or replying to ask us to stop, adds your address to a list we keep so we never email it again.
- We send at most one of these emails a month. If you reply, we keep the conversation in our email system to answer you.
- We don't buy lists, and we don't sell or share your details. Ask us at any time what we hold or to delete it, using the contact details below.
Infrastructure
Our service runs on Netlify (hosting and serverless functions), Supabase (database), Stripe (billing), SendGrid (email delivery), Companies House and the FCA Register (public data about firms), Sentry (error monitoring), GitHub (problem-report tracking) and Cloudflare Turnstile (spam checks on the problem-report form). Each acts as a processor for the data described above. Fonts are self-hosted, so calculator visitors' browsers make no requests to third-party font services.
Sentry receives a diagnostic report when a page errors: the technical details of the fault, the page address, and your browser, device and approximate location derived from your IP address. It also records a masked replay of the session so we can see what broke — text you type, including anything you enter in the calculator, is masked before it leaves your browser and is never sent to Sentry. We use it only to keep the calculator working, and Sentry stores this data in the United States under its standard data processing terms.
